This is one of my first renders (I just started using the program this week). School has us designing bathhouses, and this is an interior view of mine. The column front-and-centre is a bit in the way. Apart from that, I think it turned out pretty well.

i use a ton of sketchup. did you have to pay for it? whats it like? I’d love to be able to get that sort of rendering.

I think there is a cost to it, but the computers at my university have it. There might be a free student version. It’s pretty intuitive to use; you can use custom materials that add texture and light reflection, set the exposure and focal distance, and add a simulated sky. It takes a while to render (the above one took about an hour, and it wasn’t even totally sorted).
